Mental Health and Integrated Services

We strive to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for individuals and families to live emotionally healthy and independent lives to achieve personal growth and mental wellness. We provide affordable, accessible, culturally competent, and trauma-informed services through a collaborative approach to mental health care.

Promoting Mental Health and Wellness

Whether navigating a recently diagnosed mental illness or looking for a more collaborative and empowering approach to mental health care, Tasks Unlimited provides a variety of mental health services that integrate treatment, case management, and rehabilitation support to meet each person’s needs and help them reach their long term goals.

Services for People with Mental Illness

Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS)

Rooted in the Fairweather Lodge model, the Tasks Unlimited Training Center (TUTC), our licensed Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS), provides adults with symptom stabilization, group and independent living skills practice, resource coordination, mental and chemical health education, medication support, and recreational opportunities. This nine-bed, co-ed program emphasizes peer support and employment as keys to mental wellness and stability. Many people transition from TUTC into our Transition Lodge.

Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH)

Services for people with mental illness who are currently experiencing homelessness. The PATH team works to connect eligible individuals with mental health treatment, substance use services, housing assistance, and other supports to help them transition out of homelessness.

Targeted Case Management (TCM)

Focused on connecting people with the resources and services to meet the needs of those with a mental illness. Offers support identifying each person’s needs, developing goals, and creating a plan for stability and wellness. Case managers provide assistance connecting with resources such as therapy, housing, medical care, benefits, and community supports. They also advocate for and reduce barriers to personal goals.

Integrated and Supplemental Services

These services are offered in coordination with other services or to support access for our clients to critical services.

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS)

A rehabilitation focused service designed to support people with mental illness in developing skills and enhancing their ability to live independently and participate in the community. Tasks offers ARMHS services to people connected with other Tasks services, including those living in Tasks Lodges.

Chemical Health Coordination

Our Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) coordinates chemical health services into our IRTS and coordinates across other services to promote development of the tools and skills needed to break the cycle of addiction from tobacco, alcohol or other substances. Depending on the severity of use, and how significantly mental health symptoms are impacting use, this may include evaluation and referral to a service outside of Tasks that is focused on substance abuse treatment.

Diagnostic Assessment

To identify specific mental health disorders, understand their severity, and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Many mental health services require a diagnosis made by a licensed mental health provider. If you don’t already have a documented diagnosis or haven’t seen a mental health provider in over a year, this is the place to start.

Medication Management

Finding the right medication is important. Tasks Unlimited partners with local psychiatrists and advanced practice registered nurses to ensure all program participants have regular access to psychiatric care. Tasks Unlimited also offers psychoeducation and coordination services to monitor the effectiveness of the medication and compliance with prescribed treatment. If someone already has a presciber that they work with, our teams will coordinate with them; there is no need to change providers.

Wellness and Recreation

Participants in Tasks services also have opportunities to learn healthy living habits such as exercising, eating healthy foods and participating in mental health wellness groups, as well as various recreational activities offered through our Resource Center. In addition, our nursing staff offer health maintenance assistance such as blood pressure screenings, weight management planning and diabetes management education.
