Our Services

Introduction

At Tasks Unlimited, we believe recovery and personal success thrives in community. Since 1970, our programs have been grounded in the pioneering Fairweather Lodge Model developed by Dr. George Fairweather—a model built on mutual support, shared responsibility, and the power of meaningful work. We create spaces where individuals with serious mental illness can live, work, and achieve together, fostering independence while embracing interdependence. Our approach transforms lives by combining housing, employment, and mental health support into a holistic pathway toward stability and success.

Every service we offer reflects our commitment to dignity, accountability, and the belief that everyone deserves a life full of living, working, and achieving.

Summary of Services

Tasks Unlimited offers a continuum of services designed to help individuals reach their goals and reclaim their lives:

Fairweather Lodges and Housing

Shared, supportive living environments where members manage their homes together, practice independent living skills, and build lasting peer connections. We offer a Transition Lodge where someone interested can experience “Lodge Life” before touring and meeting with members of Lodges in the area.

Employment Services and Job Training

Through direct employment, training, and community job placements, we provide consistent, meaningful work opportunities—because employment is a cornerstone of personal empowerment and long-term recovery. In addition, we offer supportive services to help maintain and retain employment.

Mental Health & Wellness

Community based services including Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, Targeted Case Management, counseling, and psychiatric support to promote stability and well-being. We also operate an Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS); a rehabilitative setting focused on succesful transition back to community after a mental health crisis or hospitalization.

Community Drop-In and Resource Centers

Outreach and support programs that provide group activities, peer support, recreational opportunities, and connect individuals to housing, vocational training, health education, and recovery resources.
