We strive to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for individuals and families to live emotionally healthy and independent lives to achieve personal growth and mental wellness. Our vision is to provide affordable, accessible, culturally competent, and trauma-informed services through a collaborative approach to mental health care.

Tasks’ Counseling Clinic

Tasks Unlimited Counseling Clinic provides individual and family therapy services for adults and adolescents 16 and older.

Additionally, walk-in services may be available to individuals for up to three sessions. Services are provided both in-person and via telehealth. Therapy is provided by licensed professionals and clinical trainees under supervision.

Tasks also offers benefits coordination and Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) to all eligible program participants, as well as Targeted Mental Health Case Management and Independent Living Skills (ILS) training to program participants from specific counties.

Counseling Clinic Staff

Liz Mihalchick, MA, LPCC, LADC, LSC

Director of Behavioral Health Services

Since joining Tasks Unlimited in 2021, Liz Mihalchick provides quality control and oversight of all clinical services, including Case Management, ARMHS, Intensive Residential Treatment Services, and crisis and medication management programs. Liz is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Board Approved Supervisor for LPCC and LADC, and Licensed School Counselor. Her wide experience in mental health includes community mental health, school-based therapy and counseling, day treatment, crisis response, consulting, animal-assisted therapy, and private practice.

Noelle Tollefson-Schenck, MA, LPCC

Clinical Supervisor/Therapist

Noelle is a clinical supervisor who has been providing therapy services in both clinical and school-based settings for over 10 years. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults with areas of interest including building self-esteem, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ and trauma. Noelle believes in providing a safe, comfortable environment where clients can be their authentic self and gain the tools they need to become the best versions of themselves. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, organizing and spending time with family and friends.

Other Mental Health Programs

Diagnostic Assessment

To identify specific mental health disorders, understand their severity, and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Many program eligibility requirements include a documented diagnosis. If you don’t already have a documented diagnosis, we can provide this assessment.

Medication Management

Tasks Unlimited partners with two psychiatrists to ensure all program participants have regular access to psychiatric care (program participants do have the option to continue services with their own psychiatrist). Tasks Unlimited also boasts a team of medication specialists and psycho-social education coordinators to monitor the effectiveness of the medication and compliance with prescribed treatment.

Targeted Case Management (TCM)

For individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) are designed to provide comprehensive support and coordination of care. This includes:

  • Assessment and Planning
  • Services Coordination
  • Advocacy
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Monitoring and Follow-up
  • Education and Empowerment

Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS)

Tasks Unlimited Training Center (TUTC), a licensed Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS) provider, goes above and beyond the traditional IRTS program. This nine-bed, co-ed program emphasizes peer support and employment as keys to mental wellness and stability.

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS)

Designed to support individuals with serious mental illness in developing and enhancing their ability to live independently and participate in the community.

Chemical Health Program

Tasks Unlimited employs a chemical health skills coordinator to assist program participants in breaking the cycle of addiction from tobacco, alcohol or other addictions often associated with mental illness.

Wellness Program

Participants have the opportunity to learn healthy living habits such as exercising, eating healthy foods and participating in mental health wellness groups. In addition, an on-site nurse provides regular health maintenance assistance such as blood pressure screenings, weight management programs and diabetes management.

Recreation Program

Tasks offers program participants activities including: Tai Chi, bike outings, hiking adventures, cabin stays and day trips. Program participants also have the opportunity to participate in Tasks Unlimited planned vacations at their own expense.
